Robert Janson
Born in 1965 in the town of Czeladź, Robert Janson is one of the most prominent and highly acclaimed Polish composers. Since 1989, he has been the leader and guitarist of Varius Manx, a group with which he made 11 records, including Emu (1994), Elf (1995), Ego (1996), Varius Manx symfonicznie. Tyle siły mam (2006).

He also composed the group's numerous hits, such as "Zanim zrozumiesz", which won him the Grand Prix at the Sopot Song Festival in 1994. He has twice won the music industry's Fryderyk award in the "composer of the year" category. He was also honoured with a diamond record for best-selling albums in the years 1991-2001.

He has composed music for many top Polish artists, including Maryla Rodowicz. He wrote the anthem for the Polish Olympic Team for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

His film credits include composing scores to such films as Jarosław Żamojda's Młode wilki (1995) and Maciej Dutkiewicz's Nocne graffiti (1997), as well as individual compositions, such as "Orła cień" in Juliusz Machulski's Kiler (1997).
